How do I view my hound’s stats?

Every hound in Hounds of Fury has a unique set of stats that determine how they perform in races, how often they can race, and how well they respond to training. Understanding these stats will help you choose the right races, plan training, and manage your kennel effectively.

Viewing Your Hound’s Stats

To view your hound’s stats:

  1. Open your kennel.
  2. Tap on one of your hounds to open its profile.
  3. You will see all visible stats on the profile screen.
  4. If you own the Performance Analyzer (available in the General Store), you will also see hidden stats.

Hidden stats provide deeper insight into how your hound behaves on the track and how well they respond to training

Visible Stats

Visible stats are shown directly on your hound’s profile and affect performance, racing frequency, and long‑term progression.

Weight

Weight affects how your hound performs on different track conditions.

  • Bulk Chow increases weight over time
  • Balance Kibble maintains current weight
  • Lean Mince reduces weight over time

Performance effects:

  • Hounds heavier than 30 kg perform better on wet tracks
  • Hounds lighter than 30 kg perform better on dry (sunny) tracks

Age

Age determines when your hound can race and breed.

  • Puppies cannot race until they are 1 day old
  • Hounds purchased from the market start at 1 day old and can race immediately
  • Female hounds can breed from 2 days old
  • All hounds retire at 10 days old

Health

Health affects race performance and can cause early retirement if neglected.

Health is maintained by feeding your hound properly. Different foods have different nutritional values — tap a food item to see its effects.

Happiness

Happiness affects performance and can be improved by playing with your hound.

  • Toys can be purchased from the store
  • Each toy has different happiness effects
  • Tap a toy to see its stats and remaining uses

Fatigue

Hounds gain fatigue as they race.

  • A fatigued hound will perform poorly
  • A hound that is too tired cannot race at all
  • Some hounds fatigue more slowly and recover faster due to their hidden Recovery stat

Hidden Stats

Hidden stats are only visible if you own the Performance Analyzer. These stats have a major impact on race performance and training success.

Strength

Strength helps a hound perform better on shorter tracks. Strength can be increased through training.

Endurance

Endurance helps a hound perform better on longer tracks. Endurance can also be increased through training.

Focus

Focus determines how well a hound performs in the middle boxes.

  • Low Focus hounds are penalised in boxes 4 and 5
  • These hounds perform better in boxes 1 or 8

Reflexes

Reflexes determine how quickly your hound jumps at the start.

  • Higher Reflexes = faster jump = early advantage

Recovery

Recovery determines:

  • How quickly your hound recovers after racing
  • How many races they can enter before becoming too tired

Hounds with high Recovery can race more frequently.

Trainability

Trainability affects the chance of successful training in Strength or Endurance.

  • High Trainability = higher success rate
  • It does not guarantee success every time
  • Over time, high‑trainability hounds improve more efficiently

Using Stats to Make Better Decisions

Once you understand your hound’s visible and hidden stats, you can:

  • Choose race distances that match Strength or Endurance
  • Avoid middle boxes for low‑Focus hounds
  • Race more often with high‑Recovery hounds
  • Prioritise training for hounds with high Trainability
  • Adjust weight for weather conditions
  • Keep Health and Happiness high for consistent performance

Mastering stats is one of the biggest advantages you can gain in Hounds of Fury.
