Tracks can be wet or dry and may be shorter or longer distances.
Certain hounds will perform better on specific track conditions. Race them on different types to see which tracks they perform best on.
Box position
Hounds have a ‘focus’ stat which improves their performance when racing in certain box positions. Race your hounds in different positions to see which position they favour. Hounds with a higher focus stat will perform better in the middle boxes.
Groupings
Hounds can progress through groupings to earn higher prize money. Maidens are hounds with no wins.
Maidens – Requires 1 win to progress to Group 5
Group 5 – Requires 2 consecutive wins to progress to Group 4
Group 4 – Requires 2 consecutive wins to progress to Group 3
Group 3 – Requires 3 consecutive wins to progress to Group 2
Group 2 – Currently no promotion to Group 1 available
Group 1 – Not currently available
Note: If your hound does not come 1st/2nd or 3rd in a race in 5 starts, it will be demoted one group lower.
Leaderboard
The leaderboard is a list of all players ranked by current cash balance. There is also a list of the highest earning hounds. Tap on a hound or a username in the list to see the linked player profile.
Instant races can be entered any time and will start as soon as you enter the race. The race will be against the AI Hounds, not other players. It might be useful to use these races to work out your hounds preferences and to get your race numbers up to make your male hound ready for studding. The Time Remote (purchased from the Shop) can be used to “speed up” these type of races.
PVP races can be entered any time but will require one other player to “match” with you in order for the race to take place. PVP races award more prize money and the weekly winner will get a special bonus item as a reward. The Time Remote can also be used to speed up PVP races. Read more about PVP races here.
Scheduled races are the main stream of races in hounds. These occur roughly every few minutes, in real time. You can race against other multiple other players hounds in these races and also place bets on your own (or other player’s) hounds. The Time Remote cannot be used to speed up Scheduled Races.
Sweepstakes races are special, player created races. Players can pay 5 golden bones to convert a scheduled race into a sweepstakes race where multiple other players pay an entry fee that goes into a prize pool that is shared between winners. The Time Remote cannot be used to speed up Sweepstakes races. Read more about Sweepstakes races here.
